Bicycle routes
There are 19 bicycle routes in the Kvarner bay recommended by experts. These routes cover the entire Kvarner area and are split into nine categories: Opatija Riviera, Rijeka and surroundings, Crikvenica Riviera, Novi Vinodolski Riviera, Islands of Lošinj, Krk, Cres and Rab, and Gorski Kotar. Platak
Bicycle routes Platak amount to 189,5 km with 8 routes which also pass through the National park Risnjak. A detailed plan of the routes can be found either at the Čavle Tourist Board office or the mobile app Bike Rijeka.

Krk
The island of Krk also contains MTB, trekking and road cycling routes. KRKbike is their own mobile app for Apple and Android available for download at their respective app stores. Gorski kotar
Gorski Kotar offers even more opportunities for cycling, with 9 branches amounting to an impressive 400 km long cycling trail of Gorski Kotar, and new capillary cycling routes which includes 3 road, 9 trekking and 21 MTB routes.

Učka
Within Učka Nature Park are 8 marked mountain bike trails of varying difficulty amounting to a total length of 180km. More details about the trails can be found on the following webpage, along with their brochure which is also available for download: pp-ucka.hr

BikeRijeka
BikeRijeka is an app for Android and iPhone which enables cyclists to search for around 40 trails shown on Google Maps and it provides directions on how to reach them. Trails also include descriptions of attractions, locations of nearby food and drink venues, service centres, accommodation venues. The developer describes the app as “everything you need to explore new trails”.

Bike sharing
Ricikleta
Ricikleta is a smart e-bike sharing service in Rijeka with 4 bike sharing stations and 28 available e-bicycles. The bikes are rented via QR code, and after payment the user receives the code and instructions for unlocking the bike.

Eko Otok Krk
Eko Otok Krk offers a bike sharing service on the island of Krk. Currently there are 8 charging station spread across the island with electric bikes ready for renting.

Other bike sharing/renting options
Bicycle transport in trains/on ships
Bicycle transport is possible in HŽPP trains in two ways: Folded bicycles can be transported as regular luggage in all trains; Regular bicycles can be stored in certain trains (EMG 6112 model) which have a space for accommodating 10 bicycles. In domestic travel, two lines with such trains pass through PGŽ: Osijek - Koprivnica - Zagreb GK - Rijeka - Osijek, and Zagreb GK - Karlovac - Duga Resa - Ogulin - Moravice - Rijeka - Zagreb GK. For international travel, HŽPP offers bicycle transport on the Rijeka - Ljubljana - Budapest - Rijeka line. More information can be found here: hzpp.hr. Bicycle transport is available on several Jadrolinija ship lines as well. The price for bicycle transport varies depending on the route and season (Seasonal prices and off-season prices).
